Festival - Rajasthan - Banganga Fair

The Banganga Fair is held in Jaipur on the full-moon day of the Hindu month of Vaisakh. This fair is almost 200 years old and boasts of being one of the oldest fairs of Rajasthan. It is believed that the fair started during the erection of the Radha-Krishna temple at Bairath district of Jaipur.

Banganga Fair is famous for its religious angle as well as for the glimpse to the culture and tradition of Rajasthan that it provides. Stalls display and sell Rajasthani handicrafts and textiles. People can taste authentic Rajasthani food in this fair.
