| Thank you Puni & Chocolate.. If I could find a press for the rotis that would make the job much easier. I can cook them on Tava.. Have you ever used a roti press? I have seen those in India, found few tortilla press on amazon. Any idea if that will work? Last edited by gokusha : 15th April 2008 at 07:45 AM. |

| My DH bought this roti maker(the tortilla one) recently and I was all skeptical about the performance.. A guy from the company came and demostrated with the dough I prepared. It came out well, the teleshoppe types. I am satisfied with the product,I am using it for roti, poli, paratha. They come well and I can do 15-20 rotis at ease.we also bought one for my SIL. Except for 2 flaws, after some time say around 8-10 rotis, the so called insulated handle attached to the lid also gets heated, that I need to use a cloth. And also the shaky lid, feel it could be made a little stable. When left unattended, the lid bangs on the tawa.. ![]() ![]() Otherwise the product is good. | I bought the one for making Tortillas. It is totally useless. You need to put lots of oil to make the dough. Also the rotis don't come out thin and soft. It is ok for making puris. Rgds, Ramya |

| I think i'm gonna drop this plan of buying a roti press.. Rarely see a positive feedback on a roti/tortilla press.. Really wonder why there isn't one good roti maker in the market yet!! |
