Pearls cheaper in US?

Hello Indusladies,

Hope all of you are doing great. My mother in law has come for a visit to US and she is interested to get pearls from here as someone has told her that pearls will be cheaper and available in good quality. Is it really true? Where can we get pearls here? What will be the price range?

Am expecting your suggestions on this. Please enlighten me!!

I had been to us recently.I bought some corals and jades there.We get good quality pearls(akoya pearls and freshwater cultured pearls) in us beach areas.(like sf and sandiego).Regarding corals and jades -italian corals(beads and rose shape) and canadian jades are very good in quality.

Even cheaper varieties of corals and jades and pearls are available but these are much cheaper in india.

If you really want to buy good quality pearls you can browse Indus ladies shopping mall and also amazon.com and ice.com. to have some idea.

Dear shobana,

Pearls are cheap if you buy from gemshows in US. Check out the website intergem.net and see when the next show is in your area. I have bought pearls from the shows and they are good quality ones and cheap too.

Hi Shobana,
Pearls are of good quality here in US. I bought pearl strings from New jersey
and made pearl chain with gold when I went to India. The jewellers in India
told that the pearls are of good quality.

You get good quality pearls in US. Since ur in CT your nearest dealer for pearls is in Absons INC Edison NJ.Spring sale is going on these days and I have bought many pearls for my relatives from there.

Just check with them.

As our friends mentioned, if you able to travel NJ, the Abson Inc is good choice. I got last August only few pearls and jades&made gold earning for myMom&Mil.

Though it is not that very bigshop, it has got such a various of gems stones, designs too. But those who have good knowledge on this product can enjoy their shopping. As i am not, it took an hour for me to come to an decision what to buy in that crowd.

For your kind information, it has been changed from Edison to Rahway, which is not very far. Shop is opened on alternate weekends only.
