Shopping in Outlet Malls?

I am finding it difficult to compare prices between Outlet Malls and regular malls. Are prices in outlet mall better?

I guess outlet malls are slightly better than regular malls. It is because outlet malls run a lot of discount offers where lots of stores in there participate.

Again it depends on the kind of discounts offered.

I do find Outlet malls to be a lot cheaper on many items. But the closest outlet mall for me is about 50 miles away and hence it is really difficult to drive that far for smaller items.

I typically go to Outlet malls when the purchase value is big. I also tend to pile up things and buy them one shot in outlet malls. I recently bought a Bose refurbished system at about 30% discount than regular price. It might not be bad idea to go and have a look!
