Its music mania on indian television with all the channels pulling up their socks with different formats of hunt for the singing talents.

with "INDIAN IDOL" on sony,"VISHWA YUDH" on zee,"VOICE OF INDIA" on star plus,its a feast for music lovers on the weekends .....almost to the point of indigestion.

Though iam an old loyalist of indian idol,i do feel there are better singers on other shows.but the show is pure entertainment,brisk editing with all the masala ingredients.yeah yeah...singing also happens inbetween.

Anchors mini and hussain are lovable.JUDGES javed akhtar,alisha chinai,udit narayan,anu malik help in rising TRP rates by their constant squabbles.they never have a single opinion on any singers performance.

then come our contestants who are more like stars now only.naughty EMON,cutie pie CHANG,cry baby SMITA,pop star ANKITA,confident POOJA.......................list goes on.

For entertainment watch it .but if knowledgable about music,dont try it.

You are right. Friday and saturday are packed with full music ! Chang is my favourite. I think the new judges are not good. Sonu and Farah along with Anu were good. Alisha and Udit are just there to talk sugar-coated. They have their favourites so they will talk always good about them and criticise others. Like that MAHA-BESURA Suhit, but alisha seemed to like her alot. and no matter how much besura he would sing, she would just keep on praising him. In my view Voice Of India singers are really really good and very well trained. Saregama on Zee is ok but all the music directors are there to raise the TRP ratings in any which manner, they dont care. They dont even care if they insult the Maha-Gurus in this process. But for the so-called Maha-Gurus I would like say that they do not give the exact strong or weak points most of the times and hence starts the controversy. For example Mauli vs the other girl (dont remember her name). The maha-guru was Anandji. When the other girl confronted him what did I do wrong, he dint (couldnt!!!) give her any good reasons.
Whatever it is, I love these programs and my fridays and saturdays are booked On sunday I see "Kofee with Karan". My favourite episode was the one that had Madhuri Dixit (I simply love her )

Its good that we have our date with music on weekends.other wise television is so boring as i do not watch any serials.

I do agree that judges are like "kebab mein haddi" now.but they do had their roles initially.overall i look forward to the GALA round of friday.

I have not followed up MAHAYUDH.but i do watch "KOFFE WITH KARAN".even i loved madhuris episode.but his questions as well as stars are getting repititive.

lets watch who will be leaving indian idol this week.

I think Amit Paul is the only deserving candidate in Indian Idol ! Chang (once my fav!!!) used to be good initially. Now his performance is degrading with every round. Deepali is good but nothing extra-ordinary !
Alisha - Anu fights are increasing day by day. I wonder if they really fight or just act according to the script.
From the Zee TV Saregamapa, Raja Hasan and Mauli are the best !
Star Voice of India has got all the gems from the country. Each one is singing so good. Judges and audience are going to have a tough time

Even i feel amit paul is a deserving candidate for winner.he and ankita,who were saved becoz of wild card round,are really taking the show to new heights.

last week it was a emotional fare well to Parleen.he was a sort of cute guy,tho not a great singer.

everyone has sung well in y'days gala.lets see who will leave the show......i feel may be prashanth or abhishek.whats your guess????

poor girl RUPALI left the show..... i really felt bad.she had the potential.but i admired her sportive attitude when she left.

her supposed love interest with chang was simply made up by channel to create interest...poor girl,she got affected:mad: .women bear the brunt always.

i felt prashanth was plain lucky this time to stay back...what say

Me and my husband also watch indian Idol... but Indian Idol is now totally sunsaan and getting dull day by day... i wonder what is this public voting system... Ankta is still there and Chang is out.. with so less people left the show seems to have lost the "Zing" and Mini and Hussein keep trying new gimmicks to keep the Janta entertained and do too much of time pas stuff to cover up the timing of the show... Amit paul is the best but still somehow does a bit of mistakes here and there... Any ways Indian Idols till now havent done anything great in music industry... where is Abhijeet Sawant and where is that guy Sandeep Acharya... i wonder if they have got any playback singing opportunity... In fact many great great singers have come out of saregamapa... like sunidhi chauhan !!!

However recently started watching Sarega mapa and the seeing that INdian Idol seems to be a KIDS MUSICAL CONtest... seriously the quality of saregamapa singer is much higher than indian idol.. and the standards are too high... but one thing i dint like about the show was... WHy the hll are they promoting PAKISTANI singers on indian show... (so called vishwa yuddhh) i mean Indian mein Talent ki kami hai kyaa ??? jo Pakistan se log bula rahe hain singer banane ke liye.. ajeeb hai yaar...

VOI is good too with very high standards for singers and very good singing...

I've been regularly watching Sa re ga ma pa & Indian Idol!!

True Abha, Sa re....... has always brought out good talent to the industry. This year too they have a good line up of singers who are extremely talented & they are all well trained too.

With Indian Idol, i don't understand what the public is up to??? Chang's ouster from the show was shocking!! I feel Ankita & Prashanth should have been voted out instead of Chang & Puja.
I personally like Amit Paul & Emon....they are good singers.

Anyways....let's see who wins......"Jo jeeta wohi sikandar"!!!
