Default Mumbai Blasts on Television

I was just watching TV and there are 6 blasts in Mumbai! Thats very very sad. In Srinagar also terrorists had targeted tourists today itself with 5 bombs and now in evening its MUmbai local trains. CNN is showing in News. CNN reporter was travelling in one of the locals and hence CNN TV has first pictures of the blasts. All innocent people returning from hard day work to home are being made targets by terrorists. Why doesn't the goverment block all roads/rails from Pakistan from where all these terrorists come to our India making it unsafe to public? I stongly favour all buses/rails from pakistan should be stopped.

Default agree wd u

hi julie

I m fully agree wd u dat govt shd stop all d bus services n rail services to Pakistan. But instead of doing this govt is openning more services daily.

I just read d paper n it said there is one more blast in Bombay dat means d 7th one.
I don't know when govt will understand dat all terrorism is frm PAK n it must stop all d services.

That's really very tragic news, very unfortunate. But i don't think blocking rail/roads will help resolving this prob. India really needs to take some strong actions against terrorism.

Default Praying for everyone's well-being...

Dear all,

Hope all your people back at home reached home safely. My heart goes out to those affected in the blasts. It's sad how a bunch of sadists could disrupt the lives of normal people trying to get back home after a regular day at work...

My sister-in-law(cousin's wife) was traveling by one of the Borivali fast trains and saw the blast happening right in front of her eyes in another train at Jogeshwari station and immediately alighted and took a taxi to get back home at Malad. All cellphones networks are jammed and hence only landlines are reachable.

I hope there are not many casualties and the families of the ones killed are able to sustain themselves in these times of hardship...

-Shal

There will be the usual condemnation and condolences and everything will be forgotten. No police official or emergency services arrived for the first half hour. Our poor people fend for themselves..

The home minister who is an imbecile says " we knew something was going to happen, but do not know when and where". Isn't he the home minister , in charge of the homeland security? Shouldn't he be gearing up and warning us of the dangers and putting everybody on high alert?

Well, we will have articles in newspapers within the next few days as to how Mumbaikars cope with the problems of terrorism and go on with life and everything will be forgotten..

And see what the Indian govt does in this link on this day of July 11th.

Default Sad

It was shocking and painful to see the news about Bombay blasts. My first reaction was to pray for those involved. What a mess and how futile. At loss for words.

After 9/11 of New york, it's 7/11 in Mumbai. What a tragedy! Very sad that terrorists, for no reason , end so many innocent lives. So unsafe.

Blocking Rail/Roads will definitely help...what other strong actions do you recommend? There has to be done something against Pakistan. Any terrorist from Pakistan can come to India now through easy bus service or train service and get the RDX here itself and plan and execute the Bomb blasts. Why do these explosions increase after the Bus services are resumed??? Remember Kargil war happened after Vajpayee started the Bus service to Lahore? All bad men come through this easy path and execute their plans. Ultimately innocent people have to suffer and pay for politicians faulty decisions. In my opinion

ALL (SO CALLED) FRIENDSHIP SHOULD BE STOPPED WITH PAKISTAN WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT

TV Channels are showin true reality, be it CNN, Zee TV, Aaj Tak, all news reporters were there as soon as blast took place keeping people up to date. Thanks to Media and all these TV channels, people got aware in time and took taxi/bus to go to home. Media plays great role in such situations!

Default Mumbai life goes on...

That was very sad to have bomb blasts on Mumbai's lifeline. I saw on TV and just on second day, everything has normalized....Life goes on...That's Mumbai. The 1993 victims are still on trial...God knows when the 2006 terrorists will be caught and punished. I would like to see them hanged immediately.

All TV channels are now in the discussion panels with the bombings and the life after that. But I agree, TV channels like CNN, Zee TV, Aaj Tak etc. did a good job in giving the news. In fact a person announced about his missing relative on Sahara one and found his missing relative within an hour. Sahara One is also doing this great job of making the missing relatives meet.

Default God Bless

Hi Radhika,

That was really very fortunate of you to have missed the unfortunate train. Even thinking of being in the hit target can bring shivers to the spine. Even if you were not in the same boggie, seeing the blast and the after effects of the bodies and blood all around is so depressive. Thank God for blessing you and keeping you safe.

Take care,
