I don't really know but what I understood from the program is that LR Eswari is the celebrity judge. I can't think of her as a permanant judge, she is not as healthy as Usha didi to take the strain of sitting through all the episodes.
As far as Remya is concerned , she is also very bubbly and the other one is Devi. she was also in the Channel V contests and was a runner up or something like that.

I missed out yesterday's program. Anyone who saw can fill in?

I very much agree with you, I am missing our Usha didi.But in due course of time we will get used to the present permanent panel of judges.
But i really miss Ranjini. She was so bubbly and she made us feel like she is one among us.
I have seen Ramya in Music Moments programme and liked her in that too.But somehow i am not able to see her in Ranjin's place.

and i too missed yday's pgme!

And i am so happy to see Unnikrishnan in the judge panel.I am his big fan!!

There are some good singers who have got in. the celebrity judges this time were Sujatha, Vani Jayaram.

when are you coming back? I saw this only today. So will try to keep this up till then. Ok
Will give the job to my husband.
He is the one who watches regularly and I'll post here.

I watch more or less regularly!
Sujatha is good, but I cannot say that of Vani J. She attempts to speak "contrived" malayalam ( like me!).
All are quite "raw" so far. There was one Muslim girl from Cannanore (?) who sang very well & was very good. Some are below average.
I think we miss Ranjani & Ushadidi because they had grown on us !
Unni is ably replacing Sharad, I think. His wife sits in the front row & has put on enormous weight now!
Anyway, it has just begun. The momentum will gain rather late.

P Suseela seems to be a better judge than Vani Jayaram. They way PS jokes around talking to the kids there at Jaya TV is very nice.

Even the other ISS set started off like this only, Raw as you say. but see how they changed later on. So we can hope these singers will also change as days go by.

Unnikrishnan is a better singer and can sing carnatic music also very well isn't it? so he has got into 'Sharath's sangathi' place very well. 'Sangathis are now Plans', have you noticed?

The trimurthy judges, Najim, Durga, and all the contestants,friendly and lively Renjini, the great orchestra, attractive stage everything was fabulous last time.They will be in our minds for a while...They have started ISS 2008 so fast,so it will take time for us to get adjusted to everything.
Sujatha seems to be fine as the female judge.
Stage with octopus, star fish, orange conches gives a sealife look.Judges could have been seated in a boat!!!!
Some of the singers are really very good.Competition will be tough this time, I think.Will post the details in a few minutes...

What you said is right. We will adjust to the new set soon. Manikantan, Aparna, Athira, Arun, Ajay Satyan, are some names I remember.Let us see how they perform later.

I also like Sujatha as the female judge. I think they are trying out till the end of this audition round.

Manikantan, Ambili, Athira, Aparna, Arun, Selin, Nimmy, Sonia, Ajay satyan, Vidya, Abhilash, Prem raj, Joseph shyil, Ushas. This list I got from my husband. he has left out two or three I think . we'll see later
Can anyone fill in names missed in this list? because of thepower cut and a wedding reception we missed some

Only when the competition starts in full swing we'll be able to remember each and every one.Some like Prem, Joseph, Aravind, Shemi, Ambili, Rahul, Rafi,Sonia,Parvathy,....were too Good.No doubt competition will be tough this time.I posted a list, but omitted one or two who got out.Will give the full list once it is complete.. 47 contestants remaining...

Todays ISS prog

lady celebrity guest was missing. Only three permanent judges were there.
Vivekanand, Arabi and Gayathri got in. Arabi is a 16 year old cute little girl. Her voice has also not got matured but sang very confidently, tried out unnikrishnan's swaras also nicely.
