Sun tv used to run a cookery show called "star samayal" by galaxy communications who have published books on their star samayal programme. These books are available in Galaxy publications, karpagam avenue, mylapore.

Program info: Cookery show in Mega tv-program title pengal.com aired at 11am monday-friday

Item Name: Olan

Method:

1. Pumpkin, snake guard, ash guard tobe cut in equal sizes, boil these vegetables in pan with little water(as they are watery vegetables)
2.Slit 2 green chilles and add to the above.
3.Once the vegetables are boiled add coconut milk and curry leaves
4.Leave for few minutes
5.Finally add coconut oil for tempting aroma.
6.Olan is ready for serving now.

Personal experience: After watching this programme I tried the above with snake guard, Oh god !! unexpectedly it was yummy. This is an easy to make and different from routine dishes

kelvaragu adai-TRADITIONAL BREAKFAST
(Vijay tv samayal samayal kitchen killadigal by guest mrs.periyardasan-thursday IST 4PM)

ingredients:

ragi, drumstick leaves, onion chopped, salt, chilli garlic paste

method:
saute durmstick leaves and onion, add this to ragi flour+ salt+chilligarlic paste
make a ball of the above of lemon size, on a plastic sheet pat it in puri size, put it on tava+add little oil

jaggery goes well with it as side dish -suggested by the guest.

Rice Fritters
(by Zee tv Super Chef Sanjeev Kapoor in Khana Kazana programme, IST 12.30 PM FRIDAY)

Ingredients
cooked rice, salt, cheesepieces, onion, chilli finely chopped, coriender leaves, bread crumbs(optional)

method
to cooked rice add onion chopped+chilly chopped+coriender leaves+salt
make a ball of this, sutff with 3-4 cheese pieces, deep fry
before frying the ball can be coated with bread crumbs
serve with tomato ketchup
