IDEA Star Singer on Asianet

Hi Manju and Jaya,
I enjoyed the way MG told 'AYYYADA" to krishnajith yesterday.
The way they call the participants 'monae' 'molae' makes it look like a single family.
As my son is also of the same age as the participants, when I watch the show, I feel as if someone frm my own house is participating .
I am enjoying the show from the very first day and feel that the final competition will be between Durga and Najim.
Durga's 'minsarappove' was stunning.
Najim sings all the songs with so much of ease and grace thathe'll be a great sensation in the near future.
Arun gopan's 'aadiyil vachanamundayi...' was excellent,but he disappointed everyone in his previous round. Hope he'll practice well and do better in the coming rounds.
Nithin's 'Udaya udaya' was really superb!
Amrita's 'mouname...'(malayalam hits round) shows the class of the show!!!!hats off to her.Perfect singing!
As you said, almost all of them are giving a wonderful treat to the music lovers allover the world, as they sing Hindi, malayalam and Tamil.

i want to discuss about the special guests, i feel jagadish does well, speaks more abt musicians, films, songs etc, who is yr favourite spl guest and why??

Yes Meena,even I liked the comments made by M.G anna(as Sareth calls him) and ofcourse the story of 'adapu' given my Sareth yday.... I found that very funny!!!!!!!
I too liked the list of songs that u mentioned rendered by the participants....! and not too miss out Ritvik. I am awed by the confidence his mother has instilled in him and hats off to her...! All the credit goes to his mom. She has to teach him word by word and I like the spirit with which he appears on stage!!!!!!

Let's wait and see who is going to reach the final's !!!!
Well,Asianet is ofcourse attracting a large audience through this!! They have started a programme in Surya T.V 'Super singer'. Did any one watch that...? I dint see even one episode...! I dint want to even compare that with Idea star singer...So i dint watch it!!!!!

Among the celebrity guests I guess Jagadish has a lot more knowledge in this field of music. The others ...most of them were there just to be a celebrity and they commented mostly on the appearance of the participant.Ofcourse! they were called for that....But some I felt were not suitable to be a judge...Like i don't know which celebrity mentioned that... During one of the performances they commented on Gayathri's structure and asked her to wear clothes that suit her...She was wearing a decent dress but because she is fat she cannot help it....And openly commenting on the physical nature is not good! It might have been embarassing for her!!!!!!
This is something I felt...!

I am watching 'Super Singer' on Surya which starts at 8 pm, half an hour before Star Singer. To tell u the truth, Super Singer does not come any where near Star Singer. I feel they are trying to imitate Star Singer, but did not succeed. I watch the programme from 8 to 8.30 just for Songs, but even the participants are not up to standard. May be we are feeling so because we are almost addicted to Star Singer.

But it is no doubt that Idea Star Singer has got high standards. I think they have conducted preliminary interviews for a very large number of people and selected only a small number out of them. So the programme has very good rating.

Dear Jaya, Suja and Meena,

Among the celebrity guests, I liked Jagdish, the most. He is a very talented person. He has got a good knowledge of music. So his comments are also apt to the programme.

Have u noticed the way he comments about songs and participants.. He even sings some songs related to the one the contestants sang. He is very enthusiastic also. He encourages all of them by nice words, even if some participants have not performed well on that particular day. Really Hats off to him.


About another celebrity commenting on the dressing and physical structure of the participants. It was not fair to do that in a show that is viewed by a large number of people.

manoj k jeyan was coming with such awkward comments, when amrita suresh danced for mala mala marutha mala, he was asking do u know who acted in cinema for this song, it was mumtaz but we cant dress like her..........this is a prgramme watched by parents, relatives and friends, guests should make it pleasant, in that way hats off to usha uthup

Jagadeesh is like an encyclopaedia -has a lot of filmi informations in his finger tips.
I forgot to mention about Thushar's mixmasala round...he got the highest score for that !I I didn't watch that show in Surya.

Hi Ladies!
So...how did u'll find today's episode!!?? I was expecting much more performance from the duo Nithin and Arun Gopan! I guess they cld have done more...! Don't u also think that ....since Nithin being a good performer and singer too and ofcourse Arun gopan also sings well!!!
But I felt it was not their best today!!!!!

And Yes,i agree with Suja that Manoj . K.Jeyan's comments were very senseless at times!!!!!!

And Manju,good that u updated me abt Surya T.V's super Singer....I better not watch it..!!!
