Hi All, We are planning to go to Coorg this month end and when we searched for home-stay/resort, we found so many options and we are confused as to which to select:drowning.we are planning for a 2 nights and 3 days trip and want it to be economical too(falls on weekend). We will be going by our own vehicle. So we want to stay in such a place where it would be near to the tourist attraction places too. Since this would be our first visit we dont want to mess it up while staying there. Hence I need all your suggestions ASAP to plan the trip and book in advance. We would prefer for Breakfast and Dinner.Since we would want to visit nearby places I guess we can have Lunch outside the resort/home-stay(Not sure if there are good hotels). Please help me out....:bowdown Thanks in advance. Alankritha
Hi Alankrita, We visited there two years ago and found that hotels were not to our liking. I can recommend gladly a homestay place that we were very impressed with. The stay includes traditional food. Let me look for the contact information and post it here. Nice family and the host's name is Anita. here it is: Dhanush villa (Home stay) 9/37 College Road, Madikeri 08272-228394
Hi Sundarusha, Thanks for being the first to reply...:thumbsup Just wanted to know if that place is near to other tourist spots like Omkareshwara temple, Tibetan temple, abbe falls, etc? Any idea? Thanks in advance. :cheers Alankritha
Hi, We visited last Dec and stayed at Narikadi home stay which is in Kutta town. Nice place and reasonable too - Rs 1200 per day/pp inclusive of all meals.
Hi, As far as I remember, it was near the town in a quieter area. Omkareshwar temple was not too far. Again, it is a little over two years ago since I went, that too for a short trip and it was foggy everywhere.
Dear alankrita had the chanvce to work in coorg for almost 5 yeras.
