| | Egypt - The land of Pyramids Dear All, It was my long time dream to visit Egypt and im very happy that i could make it. My special thanks to Aruna and Sabitha for their valuable suggestions and tips. Thanks a ton Dearies
The first day we visited the Great Pyramids. The Pyramids were amazing. You can just gaze at them for hours toghether. Then we went to Sphinx, The Museum, Khan-en-Khalili bazaar. Got some wonderful souvenirs from the Khan-en-khalili bazaar.
Next day morning we reached Luxor. Afternoon had a Felucca ride in the river Nile. Evening visited Luxor Temple & Karnak Temple. Karnak temple was very fast and very beautiful. The next day early morning we went for Hot air Balloon Ride, it was just fantastic and amazing. We flew high in the sky, it was such an enriching experience. Visited Valley of the Kings and Queens. We were then on a cruise where we visited lot of other places like Edfu, KomOmbo, Aswan. We also had the chance to visit the Abu Simbel Temple which was built by the King Ramses-2. It had two temples one for the King and the other for his queen Nefartari. The temple was breathtaking. Attached are some pictures for your viewing pleasure 1) The Great Pyramids 2) Sphinx 3) Felucca 4) Hot air balloon 5) Abu Simbel Temple

Sadeeqaty Sudha ,
Your itenerary and adventurous tour made me to reminisce the lovely time I had last year and still yearning for another trip to Egypt.
The pictures are extremely clear and visually appealing. Now I am not sure if I need to appreciate your dexterity while clicking snaps or the calibre of your camera.Chalo it is the team work of both and we got to see some delightful snaps..they are really wonderful and very tempting..
Well well..I envy you coz I missed out on Abu Simbel and your snap just reminds me how unfortunate of me to have missed out the most famous temple..very nice write up summing up every place that you have visited and I am still wondering ..how could the photos be so ...gorgeous like the ones they publish on geographic magazines ..

Yes, we arranged the package from Kuwait itself by contacting the travel agent here in Kuwait who also had a branch in Cairo. So everything from flight tickets, accomodation, food, siteseeing, english speaking guide etc was taken care of.

Hi Madhu,
So what if you are not an Archaeologist, you can still go and have fun. You can keep gazing at the pyramids whole day long, they were so fascinating. Do plan a trip to Egypt when time permits :)
Cheers,
