Hi! This place is very dear to my heart! A must-visit place! We spent 4 days in Gangtok and 3 days in Darjeeling and had a great time. I have special and wonderful memories attached. I especially loved the drive from Siliguri to Gangtok beside Teesta river. This wild river flows all way long and its a scenic drive. Tchaungo lake at a high altitude, yak ride, river rafting in teesta, fresh tea at the Darjeeling tea estate, monasteries, the Buddhist monks, soldiers, visiting Nepal border, Tenzing institute, Tibetian refugees and their craftwork, rock park, sunrise at kanchanzunga, Orchids at the flower show....I have too many things to remember! If you love nature and dont mind the cold weather at hill stations, you must make a visit to these places. regards, Hema
hey all, WHat I feel we should visit in out one region.Better take more holidays.If anyone is planning to visit north east India plan Gangtok-Kalimpong-Darjleeng at one shot. I guess it will take 7-8 days. If you are going in Dec-jan take warm clothes also. they are definitely going to be cold.Since they are hilly areas.fortunately we visited these place in may. ENjoy your journey!!!
