Siddhi Vinayak Temple, Mumbai with Pictures

It is difficult to get a proper glimpse of the lord in Siddi Vinayak Temple. Wish money was not given so much importance when it comes to darshan. Everything happens as per the Lord's wishes.

Being a hardcore Mumbaikar cannot relate Bappa without aarti. Tata Sky has given us value for money with darshan of Siddi Vinayak along with Kashi Vishwanath, Sai Baba Temple - Nashik and Iskcon of Mumbai.

Thanks a lot for writting about Shree Sidhivinayaka Temple. I am not sure whether its coincidence with this thing just yesterday while I was talking to my mom I was asking her whether she has visited this Temple and she told me that I was 9months old and my Father's friend who was leaving in Mumbai had taken me, my Mom and my Dad to this Temple when my Parents visited him in Mumbai. I really want to Visit Prabhadevi Temple atleast once.

I wanted to know another thing. I was thinking this is Kesari vigraha, but you have mentioned it is Black. Why is it in Saffron colour in all the pictures I have seen.

Shree's idol is made of black stone coated with RED LEAD (SHENDUR). He loves it!

thanks for sharing. Everytime I visit Mumbai, the first trip out is always to Prabhadevi Siddhivinayak and Mahalakshmi temple.
I have seen the temple recently and it is so majestic.
