| Hi I experience headache and vomiting while visiting hill stations..This happens as soon as I reach the top spot(eg:Tirupati). Is there any remedy to avoid this? Has anyone experienced any breathing trouble or improper blood circulation in places like Tirupati, Ooty or Kodaikanal? Please share your experience and the medicine you usually take... | hi meena, How are you. So when is the next trip to chennai. Regarding the problem you have mentioned, it looks like you are sick only at higher altitudes. so get a opinion from your doctor. Because altitudes, you may face a problem just intially, but you will get used to it in half day maximum....

| meena, i am heart patient, so i know it is difficult at higher altitudes. See, doing lot of breathing exercises like pranayayam will help. If you do have some asthmatic problem, then you lung capacity differs which could make you feel adjusting difficult. Even if you are overweight you will have problems with breathing.

| Shanthy, I don't have asthma or heart problems, but there is a need for more oxygen in the system at times-I feel it while climbing stairs or hilly areas....Hope I'll be able to tackle it by breathing exercises ... Love Meena |

| Ay higher altitudes, the air is thinner, that is, there is less oxygen content in the air. For some people, like you and me, this can cause light headedness, dizziness etc even though we don't have any other health problems. For me, it was due to bad sinus. There is nothing to worry about. Just climb slowly so that your body can get used to the thinner air. Drink hot liquids when you reach the top. Pooja |
