It is pleasant to travel if the weather is very agreeable and no overcrowding in the temples. It is a bonus if the scenery is very soothing to the eye as well. Since you enjoyed this trip with me so much, I hope you will plan a trip to South Karnataka in your next visit! Love |

| Dear Usha, Very true..your narration has tempted me to plan a tour in South Karnataka...!! Before making plans for the tour...I rushed to the FP forum to nominate this thread for the finest posts ! Truly, your writeup deserves a special mention ! :) Cheers Krithika |

| WoW Krithika! That's very sweet of you. I don't know what to say! You know, I was a little hesitant when I started to narrate. It has been a year since I traveled and I was afraid that I may not be not be able to aptly recreate the whole adventure. May goddess Mookambika make it possible for you to have a visit to all the temples of South Karnataka! |

| Hi SU, Karnataka is rich with culture and the people are warm and friendly. I had travelled many times to Bangalore and love the place. Unfortunately, I have yet to travel to other places in Karnataka and your post did give me a visual treat. Hey, this forum is helping people like me who live in suitcases and love to travel. Your efforts have paved with good views and replies. God bless you.

| Hi Mals You are right about Karnataka being rich in culture and the people being very warm and friendly. The weather is nice too to travel in June. I hope you get to take a break from your busy schedule and visit all the places in Karnataka. Love |

| Wow Usha, that was a wonderful travelogue. All the pictures were great. Lord Muruga is my favourite God and it was absolutely wonderful to see His statue followed by the write up on Kukke Subrahmanya. Do you have any pictures taken in Sringeri?? My husband's family is attached to the Sringeri mutt, though for the past two generations there has not been much visits. Now, I am tempted to go on a south Karnataka tour...! I hope that I will be able to do that sometime in future.. -Gayathri. |

| Hi Gayatri glad that you enjoyed the travelogue and loved the pictures that were taken by my son. I have a few photos from Sringeri just for you. In this trip, we have to drop visiting Gokarna as it would have taken two more days. Hope you get to visit all the place in south Karnatake soon. The first three photos are that of the dining hall. The fourth is the photo of Vidyaranyar temple. Last edited by sundarusha; 9th November 2008 at 04:10 PM. |
