places to visit near chicago

hi ,
can anyone suggest some nearby place where i can spend this long weekend cuming up..since i didnt get the time to plan in advance ....are there any good places to visit near chicago in a radius of approx 4 hr drive ...is st louis a gud idea for a 2 -3 day trip ..?

st. louis yes...you can see the arch and also go to lake ozarks...its another 4 hrs drive from St. louis...very nice in summer..lot of water activites...

also you can visit springfield on the way if you are interested...its the capital of Illinois state...it has a university...

also you can go to Indiana..there is a durga maa temple, indiana dunes wheer you can bike and hike and camp

also can go to wisconsin..very very good choice for summers...lots of theme parks and water parks and also u can stay overnight

you can visit Madison, WI...nice state building and very good city...

Wisconsin Dells is a nice place to visit.

may be it is late to reply , but i suggest u one place if u like beach and flowers so must visit this place . holland mi (tulip city) its nice place and the beach is so good .

Yep St.Louis is a good idea... you can go the meramec caves,hindu temple st louis,botanical gardens,zoo,ofcourse the arch and downtown(though not a big one),lake of ozarks...itseems there is some amusement park nearby lake of ozarks,six flags etc

If you like water-parks then definitely plan a trip to wisconsin-dells and visit the noah's ark water park. It is an awesome way to spend quality family time with your loved ones.
