places to visit around hyderabad

i want to the know interesting places to visit around hyderabad . also plz tell me how much time will it take to go from hyderabad to tirupati through bus/ train

Hyderabad is a nice city with broadminded heterogenous group of people who are multilinguistic.. they speak telugu, hindi, little tamil and urdu.. Good you are making a trip.

Hyderabad is called twin city comprising Secunderabad and Hyderabad. These are the two major stations wherein major trains pass.

You have one day tour buses arranged by APTDC (Andhra Pradesh Tourism Devt) which starts from Tank Bund Road which is nearer to Secunderabad..

Places of Importance include

Birla Mandir
Salarjung Museum (go before 12 noon to see the beautiful clock banging 12 times!)
Golconda fort
Qutb-Shahi tomb (near to above)
Charminar
Hussain Sagar Lake (near Birla Mandir) Boating
Lumbini Park
NT Ramarao Park
RamojiRao film city (this takes one full day)
Kukatpally Balaji temple
Chilkur temple
Shilpakala vedika situated near Hitec city- happening place for cultural activities and exhibitions organized by govt of AP)

The splendid Nizam Jewellery Exhibits near Salarjung museum which you can watch if they allow I am not sure of..

Shopping places

Abhids Road (near Tank Bund)
Sultan Bazaar (for dress materials)
Mangatrai Pearls (genuine shop for buying pearls in Basheer Bagh)

Enjoy yourself.. I think it takes almost 7 to 8 hours by train to Tirupati from Hyderabad..
