Places to visit in NE

Hi ladies ,

Pls help me to decide a place to visit for the coming long weekend .
We live in NY ..and want to visit some nice places in car ..
We have been to Niagara, Pennsylvania (Hershey &Longwood) and Virginia caves.
I know there are lot more good places..but unable to find any ...
How abt Boston , New Hampshire ,Rhode Island ? Is there any good places to visit ...we are not interested in Museums..pls suggest some natural places...

There is a place called Lake George in upstate NY. It has resorts and camping too if you are more an outdoor person.. It has all watersports, theme parks, boats, fishing, and also water parks ! you can do trekking as well. There is anther place called cat skill mountains ! Heard thats good as well.. But i think its to late to plan for the long weeknd as most of the places would be booked by now.. ( We got thru lake george with grt dfclty and it looked like the entire US is plannin a long weeknd ther !!! Phew ! )
You could also check 1000 islands, Connecticut and Maine.. New hampshire is very good for camping as well.. but it is more a fall trip .. You can google all the above I said.

Thanks for the quick reply depreethis ..I forgot to mention we went to Lake George last long weekend...the place was great and we really enjoyed very much ..so our expectations are high for this coming trip ..

Oh so u did visit Lk Gr. Am glad your reply helped me coz we are going ther on July 4th !

Near Boston you have Connecticut ( which have awesome beaches ) , New Hampshire , Maine and as I said 1000 islands. have you been to Atlantic city.. heard even that is good enough.. 1000 islands is real heaven.. u cud go thru the attachmnt below...

1000 islands looks very pretty ..i guess it is near Niagra right ? we missed it when we went there
BTW have you been to cat-skills mountains ..how r they any idea ?

Lake george is really nice ..with lots of fun activities ..we rented our own boat ..did parasailing ..it was really a great vacation for us ..and the mote wheer we stayed was very nice with small lake just behind the room ..it was too good ..

My frens collgs had been to Cat skill. We would have gone there if we hadnt got any decent place to stay in Lk Gr. The one we have booked has a private beach. We just managed to get this place and the revw looks good too. Cat skill motels are awesome. You get to do lotts of water sports even here. But most of them have a minimum 3 nite stay.. Yes 1000 islands is near niagra.. We are gng ther in the 2nd weekend of July. Will let you know all about it.. :) I have few brochures on whitemountains.. My husband has been there and said its a very good place in New Hampshire . BTW NH itself is beautiful.. anything there will be memorable.. Have fun and let me know whats zeroed on
