How often do you need a vacation?

Hi ladies,

I like to know how often do you need a vacation. For me,it is enough to have a short day trip in state once in 3 or 4 months ,but a long vacation of one week or 10 days is a must once a year. A change of scenery and weather does wonders and helps me feel energized.

How often do you need/take a vacation?

A vacation of 3-4 days once in 6 months would be nice... :)

A week's vacation once a year would be good...

Since the baby our time off has been few and far between, but I do agree that it is very important to have a change of scenery every now and then..it really invigorates you...

I always prefer for one or two weeks vacation once in a year ... That too change of place will be damn good to enjoy with kids ... Regards, Suni ...

Usha same pinch.. Just what I would have replied.. actually I dont think I can afford to take many vacations.. one once a year.. we usually travel short trips which i prefer and like too..

enjoy travel when the baby is young. Once they are school age, your travel will start depending on their schedules, likes etc.

yes, once a year a week to 10 days is great, provided we don't exhust us so much that we need a few days to recover from that !

Love to travel and my DH is very sweet, he is usually busy but every year he surprises with a completly planned awesome vaction. All I need is pack up at the last minute and be with him. It never comes at the same time every year and till we reach airport never know where we are going and sometimes that is also a mislead as he would have chosen another destination from there. And since we love to travel, we are on the road atleast 3-4 times a year.

That is so sweet and lovely that your DH arranges a surprise vacation! For us, it takes a lot of planning and inputs from all in the family and it is a long process.
