Dear All,

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has announced that the BIAL airport, Devanahalli, will commence operations with effect from Friday, May 23, 2008. Please note,

1. All flights scheduled to depart after 0001 hours local time on Friday, May 23, 2008 will operate from the new BIAL airport.
2. All flights that have a departure until 2359 hours of Thursday, May 22, 2008 will operate out of HAL airport.


USER DEVT FEE (UDF)

During the period between May 23, 2008 - June 30, 2008, a UDF of INR1070 for international and INR 675 for domestic passengers will be charged payable at the special "UDF counter" in the check-in area. Cash and credit cards(visa and master) are the accepted modes of payment.

Parking & Valet Service
Bengaluru International Airport has earmarked ample
parking space for passenger vehicles of all types.
The fully automated parking area managed by
Central Parking Solutions (CPS) can accomodate
2000 vehicles.
The parking area is classified into various sections
(mentioned below) to cater to the varying needs of
passengers and visitors.
• P1 – Long Term Parking
• P2 – General Parking
• P3 – General Parking
• Drop-off / Pick-up Area / Valet Car Drop-off Area
• Premium Pick-up Area
• Valet Car Pick-up Area at the Inner Curb

P1 – Long Term Parking
For people who would spend at least 4
hours or more at the airport and for
passengers who would like to leave
their cars overnight or for a few days.
P2/P3 – General Parking
For people who would spend up to 2
hours at the airport. The rates in these
blocks ensure that visitors spending
fewer hours can avoid higher parking
charges, but can park close to the
terminal building.
Drop-off / Pick-up area
Exclusive 10 minutes free for
customers who would like to quickly
drop-off or pick-up passengers. To
avoid any inconvenience to the large
number of visitors expected, this area
needs to be cleared as quickly as
possible. Waiting beyond 10 minutes
will be charged.
Premium Pick-up Area
This is the closest parking point in front
of the terminal building and is located
right in front of the arrival hall. This
area also acts as a quick and easy point
to receive visitors.
Valet Parking
To avail the valet parking service, the
passenger needs to bring the car to
the designated area (•). He will be
provided with a token. The car can be
picked-up upon his arrival from the
pre-designated parking area (•)
against this token.
Curb Side
Parking will not allowed at curb side.

The airport shuttle service connects various locations in the city
with the airport. This service provided by the Bangalore
Metropolitan Transport Corporation provides a comfortable
travel by an air-conditioned Volvo bus at reasonable rates.
(Non air-conditioned services are also available at lower rates.)
The service connects the airport with the city at a frequency of
10-15 minutes. (Please refer the city map for pick-up / drop-off
points and schedule.)

Meru Cabs and Easy Cabs are the two official taxi operators at the
Bengaluru International Airport. They provide convenient, safe,
easily accessible and cost effective travel in a standard air
conditioned Sedan to passengers. Airport taxi service can be
availed at the airport for travel to Bengaluru city and vice versa.

>> The cabs are GPRS/GPS enabled, and journeys are tracked
>> Cabs to any destination take a pre-defined route, assuring the
passenger that he would not be charged extra
>> The passengers will be given a printed electronic receipt at the
end of the journey
>> Passenger will be charged only for the distance travelled
>> At any point of time, if a passenger has any complaint
regarding the fare or any other issue, he/she can contact the

Special Assistance
At the Bengaluru Airport, differently-abled passengers are
specially taken care of. Vehicles with differently-abled passengers
have access to the valet lane which is the closest access point to
the terminal building on the curbside. Wheelchairs with

Can any of u guide us how to reach all these places., like travelling by car or other sources, which one to go first. We will reach Mangalore and from there how to reach these places and how many days will it take. Also to know any other imp. places to cover within this area. Hope some one will be able to guide us. Thanks in advance.
