Planning to visit Florida for this chirstmas holidays with 10 year old kid. The theme parks we are planning to visit are 1. Universal studios 2. Islands of adventure 3. Sea world Please let me know any tips, the must see activities, where to buy theme park tickets etc. thanks, SK
2 cents -- for a 10 yr old kid, the Disney theme parks would be more interesting than Universal and Islands of Adventures. Comparatively, Disney theme parks have more to offer to kids than Universal. But anyways, you look for the cheapest deals online. I think we always buy from orlando fun tickets. They offer good package and discounts.
I agree with gaze. Disney theme parks are must ..that too with 10 yr old. Plan to spend 1 full day at each park and reach early morning else you fill waste time in parking and lose time as there is too much to see. Check weather before dressing up as it does get cold sometimes ( at least it was in Feb when we went. it was unexpectedly cold and we were not packed). Sunscreen is must. Food is horrible...same conventional american food - pizza, burger, pretzel and coke. In Orlando, preference should be 1. Disney Park 2. Epcot 3. Sea world 4. There 1 more disney park 1 do not remember name.. 4. Islands of Adv is good. Universal Studios in California is better than Oralando..If you plan to skip for time limitations. Proud 4 times visitor of disney )
Most theme parks can accommodate people with food allergies or other dietary restrictions. Call the park's restaurant reservation number in advance, or ask at the guest services office for help when you enter the park.
