Yes, even we wanted to see the falls from the Canadian side..but due to time constraint, we could not do that. We had 1 day to cover all attractions and 2 days driving..since my dh could not take off many days from work.

Niagara Falls Trip - 6

Later, came down, took the trolley to the "Niagara Aquarium" area. The time was then, already 5pm . We also had to wait for the trolley to take us there. Since we were tired, did not want to walk.

The aquarium is very small but informative. They have a great selection of marine life like penguins, seals, sea lions and sharks ! The hours of operation vary according to the season. During our visit, they were open till 6:30pm. Probably in Spring, they are open till 4 or 5 pm.

{Tip 7 : It will be a wise idea to check the hours of operation for each attraction since they differ for each season. Get a schedule of the shows in the Aquarium too if you are particular about feeding or watching the animals exciting performance/presentations.}

We missed all the shows since they got over by 4:30 or 4:45pm. Anyway, we got a look at the marine life there.

Probably if we had one more day, we could have come back to the Aquarium. But in that case, we may need to purchase the tickets for this attraction the next day.

Then, there is the "Niagara Gorge Discovery center". Here they have displayed lots of information about the falls. They have a short movie for 20mts.. comedy was...my dh was sleeping throughout the movie..and I kept waking him up!!.

Then there was a 10min elevator ride providing us information about the rock formation near the falls. It was quite informative and my kids loved it !

Then we come out and in an enclosed area, we can view pictures that show, how the Niagara falls and the surrouding areas have changed over the course of many years. Packed with lots of information !

If you are planning to take your parents & inlaws, guess you might need to book 2 or 3 rooms in the hotels/inns. Please start looking for good deals from now for flights (if you plan to fly), hotels and car rental ( if you are not going to drive down in your car/van)
