Best Beaches, Water Falls , Lakes

I've not visited so many lakes,falls & beaches like you all...but in the short list of places that I had visited...

glad to see your list of favorite beaches and falls. Kodaikanal is one of my favorite places. I like Laguna beach and Carlsbad beach too. Have not seen the other beaches mentioned.

My all time favorite is marina beach. Recently we went to kovalam beach and surprisingly it was very neat and less crowded. We really enjoyed the holiday. Holiday-wise, our boat house trip in kumarakom was by-far our best and most relaxing time we've had. Also, we've gone to hogainakal falls, pretty good for a day trip.

I have not been out of India, so my favourites are in India, especially in Tamilnadu. When it comes to beach, though we visit Marina, I feel the Besant Nagar Beach quite better place to be than the Marina in Chennai. And the beach in Kanyakumari where the two seas and the Indian Ocean meet is simply great. It had been a loooong time since we visited that place and now we have planned to go there again.

When it comes to falls, I am always thrilled by the Coutrallam; but more than that the Agasthiyar falls in Papanasam. I still remember my youngest uncle telling my father, Oh Athimber, ithula kulichathukkapparam thalaila onnum illangara madiri irukku (after taking bath in this falls, I feel there is nothing left on my head; though he meant the dirt in his hair, we had a merry laugh pulling his leg, we do it still).

I have always wanted to visit Niagara falls and Dal Lake. Keeping my fingers crossed. Let me see when I will be able to visit these places.

I agree with you that Besant nagar beach is much nicer than Marina beach. I too have gone to Kanyakumari many years ago and is on my list for next visit. Hope you get to visit Naiagara and Dal lake soon!

i like mandavi, pingaleshwar, narayan sarovar, sutari---all in kutch Gujrat

i didn't see any in china.

Beaches which i have mentioned in gujrat are near Bhuj. Mandavi is popular it is very peaceful now i don't know what is the condition. Narayan sarovar got its name as Lord Rama visited this place during exile period, pingaleshwar and suthari too dangerous we need to stay at safer distance, these two beaches are not like other beaches it is too steep at least ten metres very risky. In China in my area we have Hai He but it is too polluted..rest i don't know....

i like thiruvanmiyur beachin chennai it s very peaceful and you can see lots of people coming for their regular walks there!!!!
my favourite lake is WAST WATER in lake district it's the deepest lake in england and surrounded by scafell pike the tallest mountain and has englands smallest church all three in one place it just awesome the views you can get here!!!!there is no boating etc but nature at its best!!!!but lot of people come just for picnics,walks,mountain climbing etc!!!
apart from this i also like windermere its a famous tourist spot here!!!!also lochness in scotland iis a great place to visit!!!!
i would love to visit kutralam,jog falls,victoria falls and niagara falls,dal lake!!!
