    Dear IL friends,

    Can you please suggest any good Holiday destinations within India or closer to India. Any good holiday package which you come across etc

    Hubby and me are planning for a weeks vacation during Diwali in october.

    Looking forward to your suggestions :)

    I swear by Darjeeling and Gangtok.. Me and DH had been there last year and it had been an unforgettable experience. My dh was so impressed by the hospitality of the people and the scenic beauty especially of Darjeeling that he was telling me the other day we will build a retirement home there..:)

    If you want to visit south India, then I can suggest you Kerala, which has fantastic places to see.

    Actually we planned it on our own.. we booked tickets well in advance say 3 mths in advance.. We booked tickets to Bagdodara airport, from there to Darjeeling via Siliguri.. if you are interested just PM me.. i can suggest good hotels where we stayed..I must say Worth a visit... we may go once again next year.. My Dh is simply floored by the ambience..:)

    In India there are many good places. Like Manali, then Kerala. ( i have been to both and had amazing experience )
    Apart from this my dream vacation in India is Andaman and Nicobar, also lakshwadeep.

    Out of India, famous and good destinations are
    Singapore ( i have been there and it is very costly )
    Thailand is cheap one competitively.
    Malayasia
    Indonesia.

    Hey thanks for the suggestions friends..Unfortunately many of the places suggested were either booked or lil expensive so we did some research and found rajasthan delight group tour through cox and kings good...it comes to around 36 k per person....they are covering jodhpur, jaipur, udaipur, ajmer and pushkar in 8 days 7 nights...planning to book the same..anyone who has already covered the above places..any feedback?

    wud love to hear on this....:)

    I never visited Darjeeling during my previous trip to India. Now, I have great wish to visit this state once in my life. I heard many interesting things about this stunning destination. It is an ideal region for trekking. Its tiger hill is very famous all over the world for its trekking tracks.

    The Place Agra, Comes in the One of the best place to see In India, But my personal Favorite is Himachal Pradesh.
