1 week break ideas ?

Hi ILites,

Me and my hubby will get about a week's break in May/July.We live in CA and could you make some recommendations based on your experience for places to see within US??

We thought NY/DC , but we aren't sure if a week is necessary or if it is better to visit those places while it snows! Any idea if its too hot in Hawaii in May/July months?

last week only i returned from ca.we had been to Sandiego sea world,disneyland ,hollywood studios.Disneyland will need 3 days to complete.and sandiego sea world is really good and in 7 days you can explore sandiego fully(islands and underwater diving etc).If you have multiple entry into us,you can also visit mexico border which is famous for shopping.

Can you give me details regarding underwater diving like any website details to purchase tickets etc.We are planning to visit this May.Can you provide details about woth visiting Islands.

Hawaii of course is a great place to visit, especially Maui or the Big Island. You need about 5 days. You can book at pleasant holidays.com or through travel agent, and try getting a hotel room with a kitchenette as eating out can get expensive there. We took some rice and daal and masalas. Decent package including airfare, hotel and car will run you about $1500-$1700, and addtional expenses will be around $100 per day.

As i was new to us,i don't know any details of how to book etc.THis was done by my dh.As we didnot have time we didnot go to the islands.the hotel people where we stayed gave us some phamplets on islands,diving etc,.I heard the experience is too good.
Initially we did not know the details,so we planned seaworld,zoo,wildlife park for 3 days and disney and hollyword for remaining 5 days.It was a waste.OUr mysore zoo and bannergatta national part are better than the sandiego zoo and wildlife park.(ONly thing we could see pandas and polar bears and bird shows which we cannot see here.)But SEaworld is too good.We celebrated newyear eve there.
But disney is worth seeing.we celebrated my dd's birthday there.very memorable visit.
