Default Re: Best Sight Seeing Places/Theme Parks

Thanks Krithika,

Some of these places could be daytrips, so I thought of adding them.

Hi Ladies,

Coming to theme parks i visited, i found EuroDisney Paris , to be the most fascinating & in adventurous parks.

Parc Asterix is a theme amusement parc in france. It is Situated approximately 35 km (22 miles) north of Paris and 32km (20 miles) from Disneyland Resort Paris.
It is especially well known for its large variety of roller coasters, and has begun incorporating rides and themes from historic cultures such as the Romans and the ancient Greeks. The park used to open only from April to October, and has generally shorter opening hours. However, it is easily visited in a day.

If you are looking for a good sightseeing place then Paris is a beautiful city full of parks, shopping, museums, and lots of people with cars that make pollution. It is a fantastic place to visit.

Paris, world famous for its beauty and charm, is the most popular travel destination in the world. With numerous landmarks and attractions, deciding what to see can be quite overwhelming. To help, here are my top three places to visit while in Paris

The Musee du Louvre- The most visited and one of the oldest, largest and most famous art galleries and museums in the world. The Louvre hold some of the world most famous works of art, such as the Mona Lisa, Madonna of the Rocks, Liberty Leading the People and Venus the Milo, just to name a few. In the central courtyard of the museum in the Louvre Pyramid, which serves as the main entrance to the museum. It is must see.

Arc de Triomphe- One of the most famous monuments in Paris, it stands in the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle. The Arch honors those who fought for France, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars. There are four huge sculptures at the bases of the four pillars.Beneath the Arch is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and Eternal Flame commemorating the dead of the two world wars. Inside the Arch is a small museum documenting the history and construction. From the roof of the Arch you can see spectacular views of Paris.

Eiffel Tower (Tour Eiffel)- Eiffel Tower is the symbol of Paris and likely the most recognizable landmark of the city. It's beautiful, romantic and sophisticated. The spectacular lace-like iron structure, completed in 1889, is still the tallest in Paris. The monument sits adjacent to the River Seine on the Champs de Mars and is typically the first thing visitors to the French capital want to see.Everyone wants to visit this landmark so expect the lines to be long (or arrive there early).

Opera

Paris largest Opera houses are the 19th-century Opéra Garnier and modern Opera Bastille; the former tends towards the more classic ballets and operas, and the latter provides a mixed repertoire of classic and modern.

Enjoy ur trip to Paris........

Hi sireesha,

Thanks for giving a vivid description of all the important landmarks in France.

It felt as though I had taken a short & sweet trip to Paris...especially to see the Eiffel Tower.

One question, do people speak only in French there...or do they also understand & speak english? Sorry, if this is a silly question !

Can you also post some pictures of your trip?

Thanks
Krithika
