hi all,

since i quoted thiruvanthipuram..

Let me say the ambience in this temple more like a picnic spot. It stands on the banks of Gadilam River in Cuddalore. The great philospher Sri Ramanuja, the disciple of Lord Vishnu lived in this place. This temple dedicated to Devanayakaswami. on the small hill there is a hayagrivar temple. it is a nice place and is also one of the divyadesam.

Hi would like to give you more detail about Vedanthangal. This is a wonderful picnic spot for all and especially for bird watchers and bird lovers. Every year different varities of birds like Herons, Pelicans, Swans etc come to this place for breeding. These birds come in great number during November to February. It is a real great sight to see such lovely birds in its natural habitat of the largest bird sanctuary in India.

It is a very interesting thread and although I have visited Chennai number of times I have not seen many places listed here. One place I would like to add where I have visited few times is Thennangur near Vandavasi where Swami Haridos Giri has built a beautiful Panduranga temple. It is the place where Swami Gyananda Giri Ashram is there apart from Thirukoiloor also shown in the root map shown below. You can get complete details from :::>>>:::...Ga Trust

Dear shanvy madam,

I have gone through aishu's post and your FB. From what you have given I gather that along with Ulakalantha Perumal Koil you have mentioned Gyananda Swamikal's Thapovanam. It is in the place called Thirukoiloor that waht you have referred and I don't come across anywhere in this forum mention about Thennangur which is near Vandavasi. Please pardon me. If I am wrong I will delete my posts.

Regards,

Geetha Iyer
