Dear Lilly07,

I visit Goa twice a year and do not bother much of my stay as I spend 80% of my leisure hours on the beach.
Calangute is a family beach you will enjoy the crowd.
Majorda is a secluded beach
Baga if you are the HIP HOP TYPES.
Do not forget to shop on Wednesdays and Saturdays as on these days there are 'Flea Markets' you can buy all that you wish for.
I love to hang on the Calangute beach as its very crowded and lively.
Water sports for the adventurers and the roaring waves for the romantics, Goa is always calling.
Do not forget to go to "Mayem Lake" a beautiful lake where you can go paddle boating.
Your names suggests you are non veg eater, so you can dig on all those deliciously cooked non veg items as my friends do.
Agauda is wonderful for the photo session of the "Setting Sun".
Do not miss the Vagator beach... its good to hold hands and sit with your loved ones.
Churches and temples you must be aware of.
You have boat cruise too.
Wines pour like nectar and music fans your ears as Goans love to dance and sing.

Pack your bags and rush.. you need not worry about the stay.. there are plenty from guest houses to rest houses to budget houses to 3 and 5 star houses, beach houses...

Stay always depends on the personality of the person, if you wanna spend more time in your den, then pay the price. For a roller coaster like me, I look for very decent rooms with all the facilities including eateries and do not go with the hype. My life in Goa is on the beach, I have rolled on all the beaches of Goa..
Do not venture out to Miramar.. its not worth it...
Majorda is rich and clean beach.

Dear Vidya and Malspie,
Thanks for your feed back. I am going to stay there for 3 days and hope to see as many things as as I can. I need some specific info like for shopping in GOA apart from cashews. Or if you know any standard shop, please let me know as I don't have time to explore things. Do we need to bargain in Flea market? Can I survive with English as I don't know hindi.

I am a vegetarian Malspie ;)

Thanks again.

If you are visiting Goa in December, I hope you have your accommodation already booked.

The travel around Goa is simply superb. The taxi guys are very nice and all of them speak English. The general public too are good at English. The hotel or place where you stay can arrange a taxi for taking you everywhere you want to go!. Our experience was always good, and we even engage the same taxi guy every time we visit Goa. They all have cell -phones.

In general people are nice in Goa s the place is full of tourists and the general public is very helpful too. In Panjim, the buses are good too. And small autos too take one around every where if you want to see the city. For sight seeing the Goa tourism buses are good.

If you are a vegetarian, it is better to know where good food is available. There are many restaurants, but compared to the fare for non-vegs, the veggies do suffer a little in Goa.

Have a nice time and if you want any further information, i hope I can be of use.
