Hi

Mainly in LV there is this strip you can go.. if you search on net it gives you 10 best casinos to visit which are known for its uniqueness... also there are 1-2 lakes which are good...you can chek out shows that are happening when you go there and you can book tikets for the shows... but there are many free shows too...

from LV the new Sky Walk is very close and you can definitely club LV and grand canyon... the sky walk tickets are $75 per person and in this amount they show you 3 spots... Also the SKy walk lies in the state of Nevada only and is only 2 hours drive from LV... it'll be great if you combine these 2 places in one trip

Hi Ramya,

Anytime is a good time to visit Vegas although it may be crowded in the long weekend. Most of the big casinos are on the strip - the ones not to be missed are Venetian, Ceasers palace, Luxor, Bellagio and Paris. You could also try to catch a show (O at Bellagio is supposed to be really good). Walking the strip is tiring - the other alternative is the 'Deuce' bus which you can ride on all day for a $5 day pass. There are a number of bus tours from vegas to grand canyon but it is a full day trip and quite tiring. Also you only get a couple of hours at the grand canyon. The rest of the time is spent getting there and back. You could consider a helicopter trip - saves a lot of time.

Hope this helps and have fun,

Mythraeyi

Hi Ramya,

There shouldn't be any problem taking your kid into any of the casinos - I think kids are allowed everywhere except the gambling areas. Circus circus is a good place for kids - they have lots of games, clowns etc. There is a volcano show at mirage, lion exhibit at MGM etc which they may enjoy. But most of these are at specific times so do check out the times online. which casino do you plan to stay at?

You can check here.http://www.indusladies.com/forums/66196-post84.html

I had written about this trip I took last May.

You can combine LV and GC,no problem. We went to the south rim of the GC which takes about 5 hrs from LV.If you go to the west rim,it takes only 3 hrs from LV.The skywalk is in the west rim.The south rim is more scenic. That is the basic difference. With your kid,you can go watch the moving statues inside Ceasar's palace, fountains at Bellagio,go up the Eiffel Tower in Hotel Paris, travel by the monorail,MGM-tiger show,M & M's gift shop etc.

Hi,

It is best to stay in a hotel on the strip as otherwise you will spend a lot of time just getting to the strip, finding parking etc. Excalibur is a good one to try as it is right on the strip and is reasonably priced - we stayed there and it was very convenient. Some casinos on the other end (circus circus, harrahs etc) may be other reasonably priced alternatives you could look at. Check out Southwest Airlines Vacations - Vacation Packages to Las Vegas, Orlando, Florida, Los Angeles, Reno, Disneyland, Walt Disney World - Travel Packages for airfare and package deals. I don't know where williams is so can't give u any recommendations on that. Also GotoBus - Bus tickets, bus tours and vacation packages has package trips by road to vegas, but i have not tried them so don't know how good they are.

hope this helps,

Mythraeyi
