Dear IL ites,

Here is the announcement about the winner for this contest...

Kripa Shankari

Her menu for the sudden guest coming home for dinner was as follows:

Starters - Cripsy Brinjals
Main item - Puri and Bombay Chutney
Dessert - Sarkarai Pongal

This menu was simple but sure a filling and enjoyable one. There could be hardly any person without liking Puris, her choice of the main item was too good. While the main item happens to be a tiffin, she also made sure there is a rice item by making Sarkarai Pongal. She has not overlooked any of the constraints we mentioned about veggies not being available, curd / milk being insufficient, short notice about a guest coming home in less time etc. Also considering the climate outside heavily pouring rain, crispy brinjals, hot puris and yummy pongal is ideal isn't it???

Congratulations...Kripa Shankari, sure you will turn out to be a good host for any guest coming home.

PS: Please private message your mailing address to 'induslady', so that we can ship out a suprise gift to you.

We would like to thank all the IL ites who put in their time and efforts to send in their wonderful entries. All the entries were good in their own way and it was good to know that most of the IL ites were trying to be a good host in spite of the guest visiting all of a sudden. Way to go...ladies.

Special thanks to the judges who helped us in deciding the winner for this contest.
