My Favorite Book - Contest for IL'ite Kids - Nov 2008

Dear ILites,

An opportunity for young ones at your home to have some fun with writing! Yes, here is a chance for young kids between the age of 8 and 14 years to write a review on their favourite book.

We are opening this contest for the young writers towards Children's Day Celebration and here are rules of the contest:

1) Kids must be between age of 8 to 14 years.
2) More than one review can be submitted by a single kid but limited to a maximum of 3 reviews.
3) Contest will be open until end of November 30th 2008.

NOTE: Parents will have to post the entries on kids' behalf but the original content should be written by the kid.

After the closure of the contest, reviews will be shortlisted and the best review will fetch a "Surprise Gift" for the Kid and an "IL Gift" for the Parent!!!

So mommies and daddies, gear up and get your kids to put their writing skills to best use and earn your family a double gift!!!

It is time for us to get to know the Winners of Book Review Contest for ILites Kids.

Dear All,

With interesting reviews from kids judges couldn't stop with choosing one but went ahead to choose top 3. So here are the next two.

2nd RUNNER UP of the contest are RFSH R (8 Years 10 Months) and ILite Mom - Moonbeams.
3rd RUNNER UP of the contest are SHRUTHI BALAJI (13 Years) and ILite Mom - Prabhabala.

Other Kids & Moms, who participated but could not make it to the top - There is still lot of opportunities for kids to make attempts, grow and win. So keep trying your efforts and surely they will succeed soon.

Dear All,

Here comes a special mention and appreciation for Vandhana & her son Anirudh for kickstarting the review, from the Judges Desk.

This set a model for the other contestants - a review - that had short & crisp synopsis of the plot and discussion of three central themes followed by conclusion.

A review marked as a "wonderful stuff from the youngster."
