    hello, this may be a late reply but better late than never.
    The best remedy for gas problem is , dissolve 2 pinches of hing, in a cup of buttermilk and drink at bed time. add peeled garlic flakes in sambar or rasam while it is under preparation and make the person to eat the garlic, gas problem will be gone the next day
