Hai.

I have 11 yrs. and 5 yrs old children. Everyday I am reading them bed time stories. I will read and show pictures so that they can gain vocabulary and visual knowledge.

i bought Panchathanthra stories, Tenali raman stories and Mulla stories with pictures for them. U can also try Paramartha guru stories. It will be so fun and children will love to hear that.

I will try one story which comes to my mind suddently.

In the Durbar of King - all the ministers are complaining that Raja is giving so many liberty to Tenali and he is not worth for it.

Raja thought to prove the talent of Tenali to the courtiers. In the absence of Tenali, Raja asked other ministers - "I will draw a line. W/o touching it you should make it small. If you succeed it I accept that you are great."

All the ministers tried, tried for hour. But w/o touching the line they donot know how to make it smaller.

Without knowing all the discussions, Tenali entered the durbar. Raja asked the same question to Tenali.

In no minutes, Tenali answered - "Maharaj! It is easy. Draw a line which is bigger than the previous one. First line will automatically becomes small".

All the courtiers agreed that Tenali is great and Raja is praising Tenali for his intelligence only.

In this story not only Tenali's intelligence is told, the art of approaching a problem is also taught to the children.

Tell this story in visualization way to your child. I am waiting for your feed back.

hi if you are particular about panchatantra stories, then i am giving you a pdf that i have used for my children, downloaded from the net. and also if you want to show a colorful illustration...

there used to be a site, where you could get all the fairly tiles along with the audio, which could be downloaded to your pc. when my son was small, i had downloaded them and they were very useful, i don't see that site now...
