Default Indian babysitters Vs Preschool

Hi friends,

My daughter will be 2 1/2yrs old this august. She is an outgoing girl and likes to mingle with other kids. Since my son will start going to his school, she will start missing the fun and might get bored. I enquired in the nearby preschools (bayarea) and found it very expensive even for part time. I have few Indian ladies babysitting nearby for 5-6 dollars per hour.

Did any one of you send your kids to such babysitters. Is it useful sending them for a couple of hours alternate days just for mingling with other kids.
What are the pointers i need to look for in this regard. My daughter is not fully potty trained.

Looking forward for some suggestions.

Hi Vani,

i think its better to send ur daughter to the pre school,as u said she is an out going girl she will mingle with the kids n learn singing n dancing n also other creative works along with some basic knowledge of alphabets ,numbers ,shapes ,colours etc all thru the play.

n also the teachers there willalso potty train the kids n kids will learn it fast among the pears.

out of my experience iam writing all this,as i too hav a 2.8 yr old kid, outgoing n socialllll.its been 3 1/2 mths she's been in to prenursery ,n i must say the development which i c in her is tooooo gd.she converses completly in english now ,knows the table manners perfectly n also too gd in academically too.
(just today itself she gave a stage performance on 2 songs without any stage fear)
along with all this u c them more ondependent in their play time too
hope this helps

bye
