2 yr old do´nt eat any thing after fever

hi,
my 2 year old son used to eat properly but he had fever some 8 days back , after that he had stopped eating. he only takes milk when ever he wakes up. otherwise he do not eat anything throughout the day . not even biscuits aur muffins. he likes pizza but now he says no to them also.
i try to make him eat forcibly but all in vain. In India doc do give medicines for this...so that child feel like eating , but not in sweden.
CAN ANY ONE HELP ME WITH THIS :(

I would say not to force your toddler for food. Its normal to not feel like eating when there is fever, and if he's taking milk then its fine. He will start eating when he is back to normal health. It has happened with my daughter also - when she had fever, she wont eat anytihng - and milk also not too much... but then after the fever is gone then eating habits will be back to normal... so dont worry abt giving medicine to make him eat. He will be fine..

Most kids are like this. My toddler also goes through food strikes during and immediately after fever. Due to the strong medicines their sense of taste changes and they don't feel like eating anything. Don't force feed you son as it will cause an aversion to food. Let him be on his own. Within a few days after the fever they will go through a mini growth spurt and their appetite will be back.

Hi Shalu,
Its normal that kids stop eating after few days of fever.Try giving him some ffresh juices which he likes.As he has no problems with food before may be he will get his appetite back in a few days.The more we force the more reluctant they become .The same happened with my daughter also.Whenever she had ear infections she totally stops eating for 7 to 8days and then after few days she comes back to normal.Before i was also very worried but now after understanding the problem iam less worried.
