Default how do working ladies manage potty training

i have a 3 yr old who is almost potty trained. but sometimes has accidents during the day and at night.
now i m working and i cant be with her all the time. when i told this to the babysitter she said pls give diapers and i will put her in diapers.
now i m wondering if diapers she will wear, she will go back and start doing only in diapers.
i did check this issue with other babysitters here and they all said that u have to train her at weekends.

how is that possible. can someone tell me

hi, i'm a working mom from sharjah. My son is 2 year 3 months old, and is in the nursery during day time. He has to wear diapers in the nursery and some times does " his act" in the diapers. But in the night and on weekends when he is with me, he tells me "potty", which means that he has to "do it".
Every day during our talk session about his nursery and activiteis during the day I make it a point to ask if he has doen poo poo in the nursery, just to make him feel that it is OK to do it in the diapers also. After all the babies can't do much about controlling bowel movements.

So, i think the kids will know that they are out they can use thier diapers and while at home, they are supposed to use thier potty. Make sure that you praise your daughter whenever she uses the potty at home, so that she will realise that "while you are at home, you should use potty".
I hope it helps.
Anju

well my baby is already going to school and absolutely no diapers are allowed there.
however when the babysitter insists on diapers as she says that ur child does not tell when she wants to go and does in the house.
even when she is at home on weekends and at night i dont put diapers and when i m out i dont put but keep on reminding her.
but i m worried that diapers will confuse her more. how wud u handle it.

Hi,

I think you should tell the babysitter to ask your kid at regular intervals if he wants to go to toilet. May be once in 2 hours they can take your child to toilet and make him sit on toilet seat - he may or may not go - but making him sit once in 2 hours should be the criteria. So then slowly your kid will get comfortable with the baby sitter taking him to toilet and so then he will be potty trained with her aswell.

When you are training like this, make sure to use trainer diapers - the pull ups.

This is what I did when my daughter first joined preschool and she adjusted quickly then. Its all in hands of babysitter to make it work when your child is with her.

Hope I could help. Good luck!

Manpreet
