My dd is two and a quarter. She used to help us tidy up earlier but it somehow tidying up was sacrificed in food battles, sleep battles and going-to-school battles. So our house looks like a tip. Yesterday after finding her toys all over the living room my husband asked her to tidy up. DH: could you please tidy up? DD: (looking around) why? DH: look its so untidy. That's why. DD: (looking straight at DH) why? Is someone coming? we laughed so much at how she has worked out that we don't tidy up unless someone is visiting. Yet it is a kick in our behinds reminding us to be tidy without just giving excuses... I'd love to hear from you ladies about similar moments with your wise ones! xxxx

Lol...she sure is going to be handful I love her. Mine is also the same age. I have started taking care of the home more diligently these days for these very same reasons. I will not be able to ask her to keep her room clean, if mine is not! lol But boy, loved her answer
