Default Teaching toddler towards friendly approach

My son is 2.3 yrs old. He is too energetic & hyperactive. Many times he begun to hit, squeeze or even tickle other kids simply out of excitement. (Not out of frustration). But he is very keen to watch baby / kids thro TV advertisements.

How to train him for a friendly approach towards other kids? I am planning to put him in a play school when he attains 2.5 yrs. I don’t know what he’s going to do at play school.
Is 2.5 yrs will be the right age for play school?

Hi orange,
Yes, 2.5 is the right age for the play school. I too sent my daughter when she was 2.6.
You can show him some cartoons regarding friendly approach. These animation movies are a great help. Its a fun way to teach them the manners how to behave with others. I think some are available in Barney series.
hope it will help.
take care
bye

My son is 2.7 and i put him in full time nursery and it does the wonders for child , they learn to interact with other children. He is been going there since he was only 2 years old and he knows the colors , shapes , nursery thymes. so don't worry put him in nursery or a play group.he will defiantly enjoy him self there.

Dear friends,

THANKS SO MUCH for ur suggestions - Perfect, Shefali....

One more thing I need to ask, My son always hesitates to tell his name to others.
This won't be a good sign, if he joins school - Is it?
It takes a lot of time for him to mingle with others. How can i solve this issue ? How can i make him to be an extrovert person.

PLEASE.

Dear friend,

Padmavathi-M u r right almost.
Previously I've used this trick of using theory to practical, not only with my son, even with people around me. (Friends & Relatives)

But with this "Emsai Arasan Eruvathinallam Ellikesi" (My son) most of my attempts failed. I used to try many tips regarding "kids mgt" from the Net including IL. Some of the tips & tricks really worksout well, especially the "STAR reward" (Hope u know it).

THANKS for reminding me this oncemore. I shall try again.
I am staying at Mogappair, Chennai. Yourself ?

How do u know that I am a HR person .... hope U saw my profile. It's great that U made time to see my profile.

THANKS & REGARDS.
