Hi Anu
If your daughter's skin in very dry and olive oil doesn't suits her so you can use cetaphil cream .Or you can massage with baby oil once a day before bath.

Hi Anu,

How old is your daughter? Did you ask the doctor for some special cream/lotion for dry skin? My children's paed asks me to be very cautious about dry skin esp with new borns... it might turn into eczema if not properly moisturised. For my 5 week old girl i use about 5 drops of almond oil in the water i use to bath her. i use also oil in water to wipe her face. You should not bathe too often if her skin is dry. And always apply oil (if you want to massage) after bath and not before.. this helps the skin to absorb oil and take the benefits.

I use calendula oil (it's a flower and we get either pure oil or mixed with almond, jojoba and sesame oil.. it's a special mix for babies and small children) to apply on dry skin (and only twice a day). Also the doctor advised to use baby cream on her legs where he thought it was a bit dry. If the doctor asked you to stop using olive oil do follow that and ask for some other alternative.
