Long list of queries.. Seeking ur help :)

Hi all,

Pls try to enlighten me with ur experiences.. DS is 16monts old now
1. My DS appetite fell since past 1-2 months. Did this happen to your kids too?
2. He doesn't eat for 4days or so after eating ok ok for 2 weeks, this upsets me so bad. Any food he just doesn't eat. Does tis happen with ur LOs
3. My DS has 4 teeth only now, so can't munch fruit pieces or other hard small pieces well so doesn't eat em nd spits em out.
4. I let him watch tv wen I'm workin as tat is wen he leaves me to work otherwise wants me to be beside him all-time, donna wat 2 do, do u let ur kids watch tv?
5. Were ur kids able to feed themselves at 16 months. The day care refuses to feed kids of this age, I havent joined him yet, will do it once I get work, trying to train him but in vain. He can eat finger food by himself but not using spoon.

regarding feeding my son is poor eater from the day i started solids. yes even i have to start youtube when he eats. he is now 20 months old. i feed him with spoon or hand. watching same thing also is boring for them. some time i allow him to press all the keys on system. sometimes give some cups and water or paper and marker. all these are for my son. am not asking u to do. if ur son was good at eating before then this might be phase or teething. or try some new food. my son is underweight so at any how i want him to eat. i still give evrything in semi solid form. he eats solid form but only few bites. you can start with pasta. out of 3 meals try to feed 2 meals properly. and one meal let him try by himself. you get gerber ravioli pasta. let him try 2 or three bites. if he dont eat later on you can always feed him rice/dal or anything. yes there are many kids who eat by themself. but not mine. already he is tiny if i leave him like that i cant imagine how he will be. so what ever suits our kids we have to do that. and your son have only four teeths so give him some time.

regarding TV yes even i let him watch when am cooking or washing. i know its bad habit. but sometimes its ok. and he learnt to talk many words by watching. i keep only nick jr. now he dances at evry tune of any programme. hes only interested in music. when any song comes he just gets up and dance but when actual programme starts he is least bothered coz he dont understand anything.

regarding brushing i use the finger brush as shown above. we aslo have small kids brush. i let him hold that and play with tap on. and sing song "brush, brush, brush your teeth....same thing with wash ur face or hands. and just rub his teeth. yeah it wont work always. some times i tell some story (which has no meaning at all now a days i haold both his hands tightly and just rub his teeth. he screams for some time. and then done.
