    Hi all

My DS who is 15 month old sleeps with us on the bed. We have been moving diff countries so dint buy crib nd so never habituated him in that , now from July tis year we will stay in a place for a continous long period (he wud be 20months old) we plan to buy a crib or a bed for him then. Now my ques are-

    1) Shud we buy a crib or bed now itself as it's already too late nd he is habituated to sleep with us, so I it sooner the better?
    2) is a crib better or a toddler bed?
    3) I play songs nd put him to sleep on my shoulder , but As he
is growing weight it's becoming tougher for me. He cries wen I put him on bed wen he is sleepy until I rock and walk around with him till he goes to deep sleep. he also expects me to rock him wen he wakes up in the nite? How do I break tis habit? Even in mornings I shud si with him lying in m shoulder wo doing nothing as he wakes up wen I put him on bed.

Pls help.... Your experiences nd suggestions are needed immensely...

    Niha

YOu can get beds here in USA that are a crib that converts to a childs bed a little later. You might see if you can find one of those in your budget.

YOu mgiht watch some old episodes of Super Nanny...she has a lot of tips to transition kids out of the parents beds. When you don't set limits with little kids you might have some period of adjustment so don't be weak when you tackle this.
