    Hi Subha,

My daughter is around 3.3 yrs and having the same problem since last 3 months. With our last appointment with doctor, he suggested for surgery.though I hear many stories about homeo, I'm not sure if its going to work and how much time it might take.Doctor was saying continuous breathing through mouth might hinder the growth. So, kind of confused to go for homeo or surgery. How long ur kid is having the issue and do you see any improvement with homeo. Please let me know.

Hi, my daughter was continuosly sick for close to 1.5 years, our ped and ENT asked us to wait for some time to see if she outgrows it. But she was continuously on antibiotics and at one point she developed resistance to antibiotics too. We tried homeo, but it did not help her much. We finally decided to go for the adenoids surgery and she is much better after that. The frequency of her colds has reduced, and even if she gets sick, we don't take her to the doctor, unless if it's like very high fever and she comes out of it automatically. I would say, the surgery helped her. We did the surgery when she was like 3.5.

    hi,

We did it at the hospital here locally in USA. The surgery took 15-30 mts and the recovery from the anesthesia took 35 minutes or so. The first day she was little bit fuzzy, but the next day she was normal. Our doctor mentioned that, the smaller they are healing time is faster than when they grow old. She did not complain of any pain. I heard from the doctor that adenoids is not that painful compared to tonsils.

    Hope this helps you.

    Hi,
We did adenoids surgery for my daughter and it definitely helped in improving her frequency of catching cold. She is much better after that. They told she had enlarged tonsils too, but did not advise on surgery at that time for her age . She was 3 years 10 months when we did the adenoids surgery. Now she is 8. Surgery definitely helped her.

    Thanks for ur reply @vidukarth.
We are also planning for surgery, bcoz my son is also suffering a lot.We did the Xray and his nose is very narrow. He always has cold, cough and fever and is suffering a lot while sleeping.
I dnt understand 1 thing between removing of adenoids and lesser cold/cough infections. As far as I know adenoids help to fight against infections. So how removal of it avoids cold and cough.
Please let me know if u have info on this.

Guys, We have decided to do adenoids and tonsils removal surgery for my son as ENT doc said that he has very big adenoids.
Is there any chance of adenoids coming back ?
After adenoids removal, are we required to work on child's immunity. Please suggest few tips for boosting immunity.
I'm planning for homeo once the surgery is done.
    Awaiting for ur replies

Sleep apnea still persists in my 3.5 years old son even after removal of adenoids 6 months back.
He snores loudly in sleep and has breathing issues in sleep.
Our ENT said his 1 side of the nose has bend bone and on the other side there is adenoid and his tonsils are also little big (Not so big).
    Really very stressed out.

    Kindly advice.
Also he is coughing at nights.
