Hi, My 29 months old son has started pre-school 2 weeks back. He is very happy to go to school every day now. The problem is his behaviour has changed totally after this. He is crying for each and everything. He was a very happy kid before. Sometimes he won’t even let me lock the bathroom even if his dad is at home. He is very much attached to his father also. I spoke with his teacher and she told he is very happy and playing with other kids. I can make out that from his face also. I work from home and all these driving me nuts..:drowning.... I don’t have any clue about what’s happening. Has anybody experienced anything similar to this? Thanks, Ansu
Welcome to terrible 2's...That's all I can say!!! It's just a phase...This too shall pass...so hang on... DS is 21 months old and there are certain days I cannot take his whining and crying for no reason....But I just take a deep breath, ignore his crying (if for no reason) and make him sit and explain that crying is not acceptable...I also ask him what he wants and if I don't get any answer then I just give him lots of hugs and kisses and divert him with a toy.... I am hoping this is just a phase and will pass....
Hi Ansu, Dont worry dear..He will be alright after some more days.. Presently he is missing you or feeling your absence as he is going to play school.. The same happened with Aditya also when he started going to school. Love and regards Shiji
Hi, This happens to all children of this age dont worry at all.Child does this for your attention only. This is because he stays few hours away from you, once back from school needs full attention. He might have also seen some cranky and crying children around him in the school and may be imitating other children.Talk with him about his new friends he may share something. Rgds
Ansu: its a passing phase. My DS went through such phase when I told him once, 'Stop crying' He replied me 'Mummy, I am not crying, I am just Whining' So they will come out of it soon, dont worry
