One fine day Lord Shiva was pleased by Kamadhenu's worship and wanted to test her to relieve her with all the curses. Lord Shiva came in the form of a Tiger and started to hunt Kamadhenu. Kamadhenu by its nature who cannot say a word NO for whoever approches her, told the Tiger (Vengai in tamil) to wait till she finishes the daily pooja for lord shiva. Lord shiva who is in the form of Tiger was pleased by that act, relieved her with all the curses and Blessed her with all the powers she has lost and took her along to Heaven. My grandmother used to advise me to tell hayagrivar sloka before i start to write my exams. there is a temple near Mahendra city chennai called cheetypunyam here anybody whose kid is slow learner can take them theri with some books and paper and make the kid read 2 lines and write few lines which will benefit them to perform better then before. |
