Very intersting. I found it even more interesting, because Lord Venkatachalapathi, and tirumala is very close to my heart. My grand father used to tell me such nice divine stories, when I was a kid. I am now 21, and my grand pa passed away around 12 years back. You have bought back memories of him. As I was reading your story, I could clearly visulaise his way of telling - "narayana, narayana" and his method of imitating lakshmi nagging Perumal. He used to link it with a daily day - to do husband wife fight to pass the message that - Lord is one amongst us.

Once again, Thanks a lot. Eagerly waiting...

Dear Sriniketan,
Yes. you are right. When Thirumal pressed Brughu Maharishi's foot, his egoistic third eye on his foot disappeared. Thanks for bringing out this which I had overlooked.
Love,
PS

Both Mahalaksmi and MahaVishnu coming to earth

As soon as Thirumakal left Vaikuntam the place has lost its beauty, shoba and richness. Both Vaikuntam and the Lord’s heart felt the emptiness. The Lord felt that He could not stay at Vaikuntam separated from His Devi. He also came to earth in search of her.
In the mean while Thirumakal reached a place called Gollapuram and she took form of a beautiful girl child and resided in a beautiful lotus flower.

Thirumal wandered all over and at last He came to a hill surrounded with fountains, falls and a garden blooming with all kinds of flower plants and trees with fruits. He felt very tired and took rest under a tree.
The mountain was called Venkatagiri and Sri Adhivarahaswami was the owner of the place. Adhi varahamurthi was staying here with Bhoomi Piratti after He retrieved her from the clutches of Hiranyaksha. Adhi Varahamurthi happened to see the Lord sitting dejected under the tree.

He went near him and enquired kindly why He left Vaikuntam and was sitting there forlorn. He said,” Oh Varahamurthi, Brughu maharishi came to Vaikuntam when I was just relaxing. I did not notice his arrival. He got angry and kicked at my chest. Mahalaksmi got angry with me for allowing Brughu to commit this great offence and also for letting Brughu go scot free without punishing him. She got very angry with me and left for Bhoolokam deserting me. Without Mahalakshmi Vaikuntam lost all its sheen and shoba and it looks like a desert to me. How I can I stay there without Sridevi? I have come in search of her. I came to know through Naradha that she is at Gollapuram. I have determined to pacify her and take her back with me. I need your help for this.”
Varahamurthi,”My dear friend, what help do you want from me?”
Thirumal,” I just want you to give me a place to live in.”
Varaha Murthi, “What is the benefit for me if I give a place here?”
Thirumal replied, “As Thirumakal left me, I have become poor now. Still I promise you that agra puja, arathana and all other rituals will be first performed to you. After worshipping you only, the devotees will worship me. Then only their wish would be fulfilled”
(Even now this custom is prevailing at Tirumalai. Devotees who go to Tirumalai, first visit Adhivaraha Murthi Swami Sannadhi and worship him. Then only they visit Lord Sri Balaji’s sannadhi.)

Sri Varaha Murthi said,“If you stay here this place will become sacred. I will also arrange an elderly lady “ Vakula Devi” who will attend to all your needs. You can stay here comfortably. I visuvalise devotees thronging to this place to have your darshan, and the mountain will be echoing the Govinda namam through out the day.”

Thirumal feigned as if He did not know who was Vakula Devi and asked Varaha Murthi,” May I know who is this grand lady, Vakula Devi?”
Varaha Murthi replied, “She is a distant relative of mine. She will take good care of you.” Then Varaha Murthi took leave of Him.

The Lord had the flash back of His Krishnavatharam. After killing Kamsa the Lord took leave of Yasodha. Yasodha felt very sad and she could not control the deep anguish caused by the separation of her beloved foster son.
Then the Lord consoled her saying that she would get the opportunity to be with Him and serve Him again in her next birth. Thus Yasodha was born as Vakula Devi and was blessed to serve the Lord. So they both lived in an ashram at Venkatagiri.

Om Sri AdhiVaraha Murthiye Nama:

To be continued

Dear Pushpavalli mam
This is indeed a very interesting story.. When I & my sister were kids, my father used to tell us stories from Mahabharatha & Ramayana..
He would include dialogues/songs from Movies to make them interesting...
I haev heard these stories so many times that I know all charaters in mahabharatha by heart..

Your post brought back my childhood memories...I am eagerly waiting for the next post..

Thanks
