Take care teens!

Hi friends,
With a heavy heart I'll be sending my teenage daughter to hostel for her higher studies next month.She will be thrilled to be on her own,full time with new friends, mess, freedom to use internet, cell, etc...Please share with me your experiences and also give some valuable advices to give her.As someone mentioned in another thread, children have 'I know everything' attittude and we keep worrying for each and everything...

my daughter too left last year to a hostel for further studies so i know how it feels...well first week is just terrible if u are a stay at home mom then u get used to it...yes we need to talk more to them than their need to talk to us...have to get used to the idea that they will sms their friends more...they will be more happy to go than u are to let them go...But when they come on small holidays they love home though will not say it......will love your food and actually say my tongue was dying for this mom...advices?..my daughter says my part of the telephonic conversation is always that...but dont worry todays girls are very smart they can look after themselves well....all the very best to your daughter...
