Going to india after 6 years and very excited about it. Even though I'm leaving during march of 2010. I'm posting now so that I can gather all the information I need.

I'm going through the other posts and making note of information I need.

I'm particularly looking for

* Venue for birthday celebrations - 2nd birthday party
* Where and how to get work done on sarees? especially pattu.
* Blouse Stiching

Vasthrakala in Shastri nagar ( newly opened) has a range of sarees.. they do custom embroidery and other stuff..

It must be good .. I saw Radhika (sarathkumar) and Kanimozhi picking up loads of salwars and sarees during my last visit !!!

I did buy salwars for my nieces .... a good one is around 1800-2000 .
