How to conduct sankadagara saturthi viratham at home? pls advise

Hi This is priya, want to know the details about the viratham for pillaiyar(sankadakara saturthi). Anybody know pls post here.

Sankadagara Saturthi comes once/twice a month. And on that day elderly people at my home will make some sweet using vellam (kozhukatai, paniyaram or sweet appam) and be fasting and wont eat breakfast in the morning. Decorate vinayagar with flowers kolam and keep prasadam and do puja.

I also know that people go to nearby vinayagar temples or temples with vinayagar idol and make banana garland and give it to the holy priest to put it on the idol and do puja and be fasting the whole day.

we use to make kozhukattai, arugampul mallai (which pillayar likes ) and will take it to nearby pillayar kovil and do pooja.

Distribute the sweets to ppl in temple itself..
