hi friends,
Women of today are leading a far better life with more freedom and
independence compared to the women in the last generation. But do you
really feel that we have got 100% freedom. Moreover,i feel the women
are being more criticised by the same sex than men.Mamiyar and Nathanar
kodumai is more prevalent even today. Has anybody heard of mamanar
kodumai. Why can't women stop things like dowry giving and demanding
and passing hurting comments on other women may it be daughter,daughter-in-law or mother-in-law.Pl.share your view and opinions.

at the face of it ,it may seem like

Women are against women...

You hear of mamiyaar kodumai

Nathanaar paduthall...later on dil kodumai...

dowry demands and harassments of inlaws(mainly mil)

not of Amma kodumai

Akka paduthal etc...(these are very rare)

Why?

Think and see...

It is the woman who becomes a womans relative thro marriage

who does all these

not the woman who is her blood relative...

you also dont hear of a man undergoing mamiyar machinni kodumai...

why they are also women...

so, Woman related to a woman thro her MAN/HUSBAND act act as

representative of the male society and do all these kodumais

and these can be easily stopped if the men of the family who control them

always decide to put an end to this also...
