guidance to visit garbharakshambigai temple

Hi,
i am located in bangalore, basically from tamilnadu, married an year back, waiting for a kid, planning to visit godess garbharakshambiga temple, direct train from bangalore to kumbakonam is available, pls let me know how far is this temple from railway station, any specific timing to visit, how many days we need to stay there, is there any pooja to be done.

GarbhaRakshambigai temple is in Thirukkarugavur. It is about 45 minutes drive from Kumbakonam on the Kumbakonam-Papanasam route. It is close to the Guru sthalam Thittai.

There is also another temple called "Karuvalarcheri" near Govindapuram in Kumbakonam. The Goddess there is also very powerful, the pujas there are very similar to Garbharakshambigai. It is about 45 minutes drive from "ThiruNageshwaram".
